Methodology

How we list agencies (and how verification will work)

“Trusted” should mean something. This page explains exactly what we know about each listing, and, just as important, what we don’t.

Where listings come from

All 152 current listings were compiled by us from public sources: each agency’s own website and, in some cases, public partner directories such as Zapier’s partner directory. Every profile links to the sources used and shows the date we checked them. The current dataset was checked on 11 October 2026.

What we check before listing

  • The website is live and belongs to an active business (not parked, suspended or unfinished).
  • A UK presence is stated on the website or a public profile. Where we could not find a specific UK town, we list the agency as “UK-wide (remote)”.
  • AI or automation services are clearly described, for example workflow automation, AI agents, chatbots or CRM automation.

We excluded businesses with expired or parked domains, sites with placeholder content, and companies with no UK presence.

How profile details are written

  • Descriptions are short, neutral summaries in our own words. They are not copied marketing text and not our opinion of quality.
  • Services, tools and industries are tags for things the agency itself mentions on the pages we checked. A tag means “they mention it”, not “they are certified in it”.
  • Prices are shown only when the agency publishes them. Most agencies do not publish prices.
  • We do not show street addresses, because many small agencies use registered or virtual offices.

What we do not check (yet)

We want to be clear about the limits of a directory compiled from public information. We have not:

  • reviewed the quality of any agency’s work, or spoken to their clients;
  • confirmed claims made on agencies’ websites (case studies, certifications, client logos, results);
  • confirmed company registration, insurance or financial standing;
  • collected reviews or ratings. That is why you will not see stars anywhere on this site.

No listing currently carries a “Verified” badge. We will only award it once these checks are done, and we will publish the date of each check.

Paid placements

Agencies can pay for featured or sponsored placement. These are always labelled “Featured · Paid placement” or “Sponsored · Ad”. Payment never changes an agency’s description, tags or verification status, and it does not affect which agencies we recommend through Get matched. Outbound links on unpaid listings use rel="nofollow"; links in paid placements use rel="sponsored".

Corrections and removal

If anything is wrong, or if you represent an agency and want to be removed, use the form for agencies. We aim to act within five working days. Anyone else who spots an error can tell us the same way.

The full dataset, including sources and check dates, is published as JSON so that researchers and AI assistants can cite it accurately.
